:::   Karli's teaching style focuses on playing with 'the art of balance' with the intention to help her students grow beyond their their perceived limitations. Designed to retain the true teachings of yoga, her classes introduce a blend of creative and intelligent sequencing, physical and energetic alignment, and the philosophy of yoga. As a rock climber, dancer, and overall athlete by heart, she believes that we are all capable of more than we think we are, and challenges her students to constantly play with their boundaries while maintaining respect for their needs. With applicable messages weaved throughout, her classes are themed to cultivate a sense of balance, awareness and compassion - a true reflection of yoga’s ancient wisdom.

Karli's enthusiasm for travel and education has taken her abroad to Thailand in pursuit of a deeper understanding for yoga and its roots. Her experiences have motivated her to teach an awareness for the patterns that hold us back, aiming to raise a genuine confidence and discovery of inner freedom.   In addition to her regular classes, she teaches these qualities through community engagement, such as her volunteer experience with Living Yoga (a non-profit organization that brings yoga to in-patient correctional facilities), along with her experience in wilderness therapy guiding troubled youth through their journey of learning healthy lifestyle patterns, among other continuous efforts. She is currently working to develop a "Mindful Resilience" program with study and application through yoga to underprivileged teenage girls. In light of a culture that requires resilience for female success, her objective with this project is to empower girls in finding strength, confidence, and intelligence from the inside out.

Karli will always be a student.  Since becoming a Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher in 2008, she continues to seek growth both as teacher and student.  In addition to teaching, she has earned her BS in Community Health at Portland State University, is an outdoor enthusiast with an obsession for rock climbing and backpacking, and demonstrates a genuine love for music and dancing.
